Movie Review: Anyone But You

January 9, 2024

I loved this film. I didn't have high expectations, especially based on how much press it got, but I have to argue that it is the best RomCom that I have seen in a long time.

There were twists and turns, but for the most part, it was light and fluffy and sweet. I would compare it to How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and it feels like this is really the best RomCom since it.

You meet Sydney Sweeney’s character, Bea, as she is going to a coffee shop and meets a handsome stranger that she hits it off with right away. You guessed it, it was Glen Powells character, Ben. They have a wonderful date but end up getting disconnected and both get invited to the same wedding - Bea’s sister getting married to Ben’s friend’s little sister.

There is not much more I can say about this movie other than I highly suggest it for any and all RomCom lovers.
