Aly grew up in two very creative households and was encouraged to be artistic from a very early age.

So, you could say it in in her blood. She is fond of just about every form of art-making. At university, her mediums of choice were acrylic and charcoal, but since graduating, she has fallen in love with embroidery, watercolor and is trying her hand at colored pencils and digital art.

Up until recently, she worked at Liz Lidgett Gallery in Des Moines, Iowa, where she assisted in many murals.
