Aly is a Denver based artist and writer

She was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in the bachelors in Integrated Studio Arts and a minor in Psychology. Since marrying her middle school sweetheart, she has moved to the Denver area in Colorado. While she has worked an odd array of jobs, she has maintained a creative spirit throughout every role she has taken on.

At university, her mediums of focus were acrylic paint and charcoal, but has since added embroidery, watercolor and digital artmaking to her favored mediums list. She is always excited to try her hand at another artform, even if it may not work out as well as she had hoped.

This website will also be the host of Aly’s blog, but this is not the first time she has blogged. In addition to having a personal blog since 2016, she has written for Liz Lidgett Gallery professionally. Her favorite things to do are spending time with her sweet husband, Eli, and her spunky pup, Lani, in addition to reading, watching movies, exploring new places and trying new coffee shops.
