Golden Globe Best Dressed
January 11, 2024
The Golden Globes were just this past weekend and I will be honest, I am not understanding the fashion choices already this year, and it has just begun. This being said, here are a few of my favorite looks from over the weekend:
Hunters gown took the cake for me - I love everything about it. The look is etherial and ghostly while still being elegant and timeless.
I adore the subtle drama of these two. Emma’s gown is sheet and floral and, while not high drama in color, the deep v and the high slit make this delicate gown so subtly sexy. Natashas gown is so fringy and the shape is so dramatic, but the color is not screaming for attention. I love that both of these looks are subtle attention grabbers.
This duo screams timeless elegance. Angela’s velvet gown is so elegant and sophisticated, and the way her designers added a little pop of color in her earrings is jaw dropping. Juliannes red gown is simply lovely. I am not usually one to be drawn to red dresses, but this color is stunning on her.
I want to have another wedding so I can wear this stunning gown.
I am loving the shape of these two gowns, while they are so different, their overall shape is rather similar. I must be drawn to more timeless looks right now, because these two also feel like something that could have been worn 20 years ago or could also be worn 20 years from now. I love how both of these are artistic in their own ways - Natalies in the way the beading creates an abstract floral pattern and Sandras in the geometric shapes that have been seen into the bodice.
Let’s here it for the boy(s)
I am not usually that fond of menswear or really drawn to many menswear looks, but these two are simply stunning. Jonathans look has delicate details and crisp lines whole Moustaphas look is striking and elegant. Both demanded to be part of this list.
