The summer So Far

What a whirlwind it has been so far. Eli and I have been all over the world and back and we are so ready to settle into daily life. It has been such a sweet month, but it has been really hard. There have been so many things going on that I feel like I am desperately trying to catch my breath. This all being said here are my plans for the rest of my summer:
settling into our new home - we moved right before this month got crazy, so our whole life is still in boxes strewn about my living room. My first priority is the kitchen and we will work our way out from there. We are also in need of a dresser and a couch, so a little shopping is bound to happen for the new place, too!
read lots of good books - my sister and my dad both lent me books that I am very excited to read, and now that we are home and settling in, I am looking forward to getting a library card for the library closest to our new home!
finding a new job - the job market is really hard right now, and being that we moved far enough away from my old job that I was no longer able to work there, I need to be looking for another way to support my family.
spending all the time outside I can - where we chose to move had a lot to do with the fact that I desperately want to spend more time outside. We are much closer to the mountains here in Colorado, and there are plenty of walking and hiking trails that I can take my pup on.
get connected into my community - this last year was a blur and I didn’t really take the time to go to community things and meet the people living around me due to the job that I had, so I am really looking forward to leaning into that this year, and this summer especially.
It is going to be a wonderful summer, and I am so excited to spend it talking to all of you.
