Show Review: Marry My Husband
May 1, 2024
So this is the first K-Drama I have ever watched and I might be hooked. This show was so full of drama I was obsessed. I was at work thinking about what was going to happen in the next episode, would Ms. Yang be able to stand up to Mr. Lee? Would Mr. Yu finally confess his obvious feelings? Would there be a happy ending or would it be sad thing after sad thing?
The premise of the show is that Kang Ji-won married an awful man who cheated on her with her best friend while she was dying of stomach cancer. She confronts them both and he ends up killing her in the process. You would think that this is the end of the show, right? Nope. This all happens in the first episode. Kang Ji-won wakes up and it is 2013 ( ten years before her death in 2023 ) and she has to decide how she is going to change the life that she has been given and how she is going to live now that she got a second chance at life, but the real catch is that someone needs to steal her fate in order for her not the be faced with it again. But how?
This show was great and faced the ideas of betrayal, love, friendship, strength, respect and boundaries. While there were some things that are hard to understand with it being translated and there being cultural differences, this show is definitely worth the watch.
