Show Review: HeartStopper Season 2
March 4, 2024
I didn't think I could love these characters more after that first season, but boy was I wrong. This show is honestly the best meshing of light and fluffy and deep and meaningful. It is is simply the cutest little love story and tale of friendship and change and growing up. If you had read any other reviews by me, you know I love a good coming of age, and this gorgeous season did not disappoint.
Like the first season, there are little illustrations that are used in the graphic novels, and these are used to depict emotions or thoughts and I now want every show to use these little illustrations. It adds so much to the characters, without adding a lot. It allows you to better understand what is going on in each of their heads and give you an insight you cannot get in a traditional tv show.
I don’t want to give to much away because I really want you to go see it for yourself (only if you have already seen the first season, if not, start there) but I highly highly suggest having a little Netflix day to watch this brilliant show about coming of age, sexuality, friendship and coping with change.
