Backyard Naps

There is a scene from a show that Eli and I was he’d a little while back that I still think of on a regular basis. In this scene, there is a girl who is taking a nap, because she isn’t feeling well, and she is taking a nap outside, under a tree, surrounded by a large down comforter. I was so taken by this because of level of safety she had to feel in order to fall asleep under a tree by herself. She was woken up by someone who cared for her and loved her. He woke her up slowly and allowed her to stay there as long as she needed. Something about it felt so safe and secure and almost nostalgic; like she didn’t know that she could be in danger sleeping under a tree.

I don’t know, maybe it’s not all that deep, maybe it is just the fact that it looked so cozy, but it is now a goal of mine to have a home, with a large tree in the backyard, that I can take naps under with a large down comforter.
