April Reset (I Guess)

March 29, 2024

It is so difficult to break out of the things I am used to doing all the time. I get stuck in my little routines and lean into them hard which makes it really hard to get out of the little rut of going to work, going home and going to the grocery store. I don’t spend a lot of time making new friends or trying new things, and that was one of the big reasons why we moved across the county.

Maybe this is a bit of a resolutions blog post. What am I going to do now that I know I am in a bit of a rut? I am proud of things that I have done recently; I have read a lot this month, and plan on reading a lot next month. I have kept up with chores relatively well. I have thought about next steps and seeing what this next year is going to look like, after the month of June. ( I really only have life figured out through the end of June, and after that I am pretty clueless as to what is going to happen. )

Here are some things I would like to change in the month of April and beyond:

  1. sign up for some fun little classes that aren’t terribly expensive

  2. try out a new coffee shop once a week

  3. go to the museums here in Denver

  4. spend time with the friends that I have made while being here, rather than expecting them to just invite me to do things with them

I guess this is a bit of a reset post. And I guess if we are doing a reset, I might as well give you a couple mood boards of the way I want April to feel.

Here’s to April! Happy Spring!
