Show review: Heartstopper Season 3
November 8, 2024
I am not going to say much about the show because I really do not want to give anything away, but please go and watch this show. If you have not seen any part of this show, please go and watch all three seasons. This show is so necessary. It so gracefully touches on high topics that are so hard to discuss and so hard to deal with at any phase of life, but especially when you are in high school and already going through so much. Every season of this show, so far, I have thought that it was going to be my favorite season they have done, but they keep outdoing themselves. I am endlessly impressed by this show and all that they are doing for the LGBTQ+ community and teenagers as a whole. I cannot recommend this show enough, or say enough good things about it.
The things that they have knocked out of the park over and over again:
the illustrations when the characters are feeling something
touching on deep, necessary, topics
the lighting and color choices that they use to convey meaning and feeling
the casting ( oh the casting! )
the growth and maturity of the characters
the way that they allow the teens to just be themselves and feel like real teenagers with real teenage fears
so much more
Again, please go watch this show on Netflix.
