Oscars 2025 Favorites
March 10, 2025
Now that the Oscars have been about a week ago, I have whittled down my list of favorites from this years red carpet ( and a few after party looks as well ). So, without further ado, here are my favorites of the 2025 Oscars:
Starting out strong, Ari’s Schiaparelli look stole the show. I love everything about it. It feels so ballerina chic with the gorgeous, blush satin and the glittery tule. I will be dreaming of this dress for a long time.
I am going to be honest, I do not like this dress at all, but that color on her makes up for all of the lack of shape. This Saint Laurent gown on Zoe is hugely lacking in shape, but makes up for it in entirety by the color the they put her in. It is rich and elegant and so perfect for her.
I have a huge soft spot for Andrew Garfield, but recently he has really been stepping up his game and showing up to awards show after awards show in fantastic outfits. This wouldn’t be that sensational to me if it wernt’t for the accessories ( David Yurman watch I am looking at you ) and that silk shirt. Chefs kiss, Gucci.
Emma’s Louis Vuitton look feels so elegant and timeless I really don’t have much to say about it. I love the neckline on her and the tiny shimmery disks make her look like a snowy mermaid, and with her elegant little pixie cut, she truly feels like she is embodying a little old Hollywood glam.
Lupita Nyong’o in Chanel is absolutely radiant. I cannot handle how lovely she looks in this gown. She is one of, if not the most, beautiful women in Hollywood and this dress does not overshadow her or overwhelm her frame, but rather shows off her elegant, strong, shoulders and her tiny waste. Another look I will be dreaming about.
I am really loving the neutral tones this year, and Julianne Hough in Dior is truly etherial. She looks so elegant in this Grecian tule gown that they, without a doubt, color matched to her hair. The elegant deep red lipstick and pear shaped diamonds on her ears really compliment the subtly of the color of the gown and the glamour of her hair.
I am not going to lie to you, I do not like this color at all. I think it is just a little off. It could have been a darker blue or a black or really any shade of red, but I feel like the color really does nothing for Whoopi. But where Christian Siriano failed in color, they made up for in full with this shape and fabric. This shape is just so elegant and I love the melding of structure and softness.
I do not know who Charlotte Lawrence is, but this Valentino gown on her was to die for! I love all of the detail and frills and the satin bow * chefs kiss *
Honorable mentions from the red carpet:
After party looks i loved:
love love love. This gown, this hair, the pose. I have no notes. Joey King in Miu Miu is flawless.
Cythia is stunning. Her red carpet look felt little bulky to me, and even though she looked lovely, I had to save her for the after party looks section because wow is this fabulous. It feels a little like something that I could throw together with a sheer curtain, and I feel like that is a huge part of the charm for me. It feels so effortless and so intentional at the same time. It feels like she is so overdressed and underdressed at the same time and I just love it.
Ana de Armas in Louis Vuitton feels a little like it is her wedding reception and she just slipped on the most stunning second dress - the one she really wanted to wear, but wanted to make sure she got the more classic gown for the ceremony pictures - in absolutely the best way. I love this weird fishy skirt and the band top. I think she could look elegant in just about anything, though.
I absolutely adore Hunter in this 16Arlington gown ( even though I kind of hate the shawl ). The color is gorgeous on her and, much like Ana’s look, feels like it could be a second look at her wedding. She looks so chic and classic and that neckline is just the right amount of sexy with the classiness of the gown.
Needless to say, the ladies really knocked it out of the park this year. There were so many jaw dropping looks, but here were my absolute favorites out of all the stunners.
