Movie Review: Love, Simon

June 14, 2024

If you have read any of my blogs in the past, you know that I love a good coming of age story. I love seeing people find themselves and the friendships that strengthen or break because of it. I love love stories with happy endings (sorry, spoiler) especially when there is a lot of growth from beginning to end.

This story is of a young man named Simon who is struggling because he feels like he’s been hiding a part of himself for a long time (4 years to be exact) and isn’t really sure what to do about it. One day, one of his classmates comes out anonymously online on a school blog they can all post to. This person has an email attached to the post and Simon reaches out ro him and confesses that he feels the same way. This is a story of romance and friendship and betrayal and finding oneself.

I highly suggest this movie and already have plans to watch it again.
