Summer Favorites

If you know me well, you know that I am not much of a summer gal. I do not like being hot. I think if we lived someplace that didn’t get terribly hot I would love summer. The longer days and the lush greenery is delightful. I just cannot stand being hot. It really makes me kind of angry. Anyway, I have decided to make a list of things that I like about summer, so that I am not as angry about it being summer and stop wishing away the season.

• ice cream

• pool days

• long days

• lots of sunshine

• the way rain cools off the day

• fresh fruit

• flowers

• weddings

• traveling

• sunsets

• tan lines

• no shoes / sandals

• fresh juice

• iced tea all day

• open windows ( at least when it isn’t too hot )

• reading outside

• sun dresses

• the summer I turned pretty

• baseball caps

• farmers markets

• festivals

• lots of good movies come out

• going to the zoo

• camping
