Book Review: Glaciers by Alexis M. Smith

January 31, 2025

I am not sure what to say about this book to convince you to read it, but I loved this little novel. This book was consumed, almost entirely, in one sitting. It is short and sweet and I feel as though I just finished a long chat with an old friend.

We follow the story of a woman in her twenties named Isabel. She has musings about her daily life, her friendship with her dear friend named Leo, what it was like growing up in Alaska and coping with her parents divorce and move down south, her job, and falling in love with her coworker. We get to flash back and forth between her youth, and her deep love of vintage and life that happened before her. She is deeply romantic and is constantly day dreaming.

Everything about this book was just lovely and heartfelt and I want to read so many more books like this. Again, I am not sure what else to tell you about this book because not a whole lot happened, but it felt so full. This was a cozy read with lots of heart and I highly suggest it.
