Book Review: Beofre Your Memory Fades By Toshikazu Kawaguchi
February 14, 2025
As to be expected, I loved this book. The first two in the series were delightful, and this was no different. I will warn you, the style of writing might not be for everyone because it does read a lot like it is a play. It is almost completely set in one little cafe with almost the same cast the entire time, which is a blessing and a curse. It is really nice to be able to catch up again with the life of the characters from previous books, but it also can feel a little stale if you are reading book after book about the same people.
As always with these books, I feel like I have a new lease on life after reading them. They are so heartfelt and memory riddled and really just tug my heartstrings. This book had four stories: The Daughter, The Comedian, The Sister, and The Young Man. Each of them intertwined and deep in their own ways. I cannot suggest these books enough.
